The purpose of this feasibility study was to determine the cost of the renovation of a locally significant house to re-purpose it for public functions as a visitor and welcome center for prospective students. One of the key issues was ADA accessibility both on the exterior and interior where there were several floor levels. The pro-vision of ADA compliant restrooms was a challenge due to level changes, the building’s terrazzo concrete floors and limited space between bearing walls. The investigation phase found significant water damage in areas that included the building’s foundation.
