Architectural Design | Architecture | Engineering | Structural EngineeringThis task order for Lackland AFB is focused on the design of a new Telephone Maintenance Facility. The scope includes the demolition of existing footings on the site, utilities, site work, site lighting, fencing, paving, landscaping and other work for compliance with Air Force Standards and DoD minimum anti terrorism/force protection measures per the Unified Facilities Criteria.
The project will be designed to be Sustainable Design per LEED version 4. The deliverables will include quality control plans, construction schedules, value engineering studies and life cycle cost analysis. The cost estimate to be provided will be a parametric (PACES) estimate with the final estimate to be a MII Micro-Computer Aided cost estimate. The design includes comprehensive interior design along with furniture, fixtures and equipment including telephones, computers, CCTV, intrusion detection and mass notification.
The A/E team will perform a site survey including planimetric, topographic and utility information. The A/E will review the existing conditions and then execute a Design Charrette considering three alternatives for the construction.
