Angel Mtazu Awarded U.S. Citizenship

Etegra is proud to announce the U.S. Citizenship of our own Angel Mtazu!

Angel was born in Zimbabwe, Africa where she lived for 35 years before immigrating to the United States. She was awarded a Green Card through the American Diversity Visa Program in 2013. Though it took almost a year to process all the required paperwork, correspond with the Kentucky Office, and complete her interview, Angel and her two children – Crispen and Amanda – moved to the United States as Permanent Residents on September 11, 2014. Angel celebrated her 5-year anniversary in the States this past September and proudly became a U.S. Citizen in March 2020.

Angel joined the Etegra family in June 2018 as a contracted Project Coordinator. A few short months later, Angel became a full-time employee. As of April 2019, more responsibilities were added to her plate as her role changed to Human Resources Coordinator & Project Coordinator. Bruce Preston, Discipline Lead – Civil Engineering, had this to say about Angel.

“When I first met Angel, I was impressed with her attitude and willingness to grow and improve herself. Angel has always exhibited herself as a patient and kind person, and has never shied away from any duties or tasks. Her work ethic is amazing.”

Outside of work, Angel enjoys cooking, baking, and travelling. She has her hands full with two very smart, respectful, and responsible kids in 10th grade (age 16). Her daughter Amanda wants to be a doctor, while her son Crispen wants to be an Architectural Engineer. Angel is a devout Christian and serves her local church as a Deacon and is involved with their Hosting Department.

Congratulations Angel!
